PURPOSE

Kids' Training Academy was established to introduce young players to the fundamentals of soccer and prepare them for a higher level of play through bi-weekly training sessions and the introduction of small-sided games. All JCFC KTA training sessions are led by USSF licensed coaches. KTA is led by professionally licensed Coach, Chris Willingham.

AIM

JCFC's Kids' Training Academy emphasizes development of appropriate skill acquisition to maximize each player's potential. Each player will improve their skills by learning correct techniques for dribbling, passing, and receiving the ball, while being encouraged to have fun, be creative, and use their imaginations.

Players will participate in a variety of small-sided games and activities to make their experience both challenging and fun, as well as prepare players for future development into more challenging competition as they develop their full potential. 

KTA sessions will closely follow a path created by US Youth Soccer and JCFC's player development curriculum.

KTA is a skills training academy offered by professionally licensed coaches within the Johnson City Fútbol Club.

AGES: 5 - 10 year olds (born 8/1/2013 - 12/31/2018) 

TRAINING DATES: Wednesdays and Sundays, March 20th - May 12th (Blackout dates: March 31, April 21, and 28th.)

WEDNESDAYS:  

BIRTH YEARS 2016/17/18: 5:30 p.m. - 6:30 p.m.   

BIRTH YEARS 2013/14/15: 6:30 p.m. - 7:30 p.m. 

SUNDAYS:  

BIRTH YEARS 2016/17/18: 2:30 p.m. - 3:30 p.m. 

BIRTH YEARS 2013/14/15: 3:30 p.m. - 4:30 p.m.

LOCATION: Civitan Park, Field 3, 1000 N. Broadway, Johnson City

COST: $100  [includes individualized skills training and KTA shirt] 

Price increases by $25 after Feb 18th. 

REGISTRATION DEADLINE: Open registration, but shirt size not guaranteed if registered after Feb 18th. 

Limited to the first 60 registrants.   

Each player should wear cleats, shin guards, and bring a drink.
